1. Sepet the Musical
Even after a decade since she left, Yasmin Ahmad’s artistry and legacy live on as Liver&Lung brings one of her masterpiece films to life on the stage with Sepet the Musical. Along with brand-new truly Malaysian songs and score, Sepet the Musical is a stage adaptation of Jason and Orked’s love story and the racial and social pressures they face along the way. Catch the musical performance at GMBB, KL at either one of these dates; 19-22 September, 26-29 September, or 4-6 October.
2. Nambuyunan Rhythm Nation Dance Show
The small is mighty in this dance show like no other! Coming off their recent gold-medal wins at the Dance World Cup 2019 (DWC), the children of Sekolah Kebangsaan Stella Maris from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah will be performing 12 dance numbers, including their award-winning traditional Nambuyunan dance performance from DWC. 3. “ART DISCOURSE: Body Expression As A New Art Form In Malaysia”

Listen and learn from the experts at this panel discussion as they discuss the experimental and contemporary language of performance art and how the body works in forming a visual art expression. 4. SeaShorts Film Festival 2019
This one goes out to all the Malaysian film junkies. Skip going to the cinema this month and head over to the SeaShorts Film Festival 2019 instead! Held in Malacca this year from September 25 to 29, SeaShorts celebrates Southeast Asia’s cinema with an endless amount of short film screenings by up and coming Southeast Asian filmmakers throughout the 5-day film festival.
