The Hiking Dad – Broga Hill Trust me, the climb up is well worth it. Source: Facebook If your dad is the type who enjoys long walks surrounded by nature, he’s sure to love a trip to Broga Hill! Located at the edge of the Titiwangsa Range, Broga Hill is surrounded by lush tropical forest. It is also known as ‘Bukit Lalang’ after the grass that grows abundantly on its hilltop. While it can be a little daunting for first-timers, Broga Hill is considered a good place for beginning hikers as it is only around 400 meters (1,312 feet) high and can be climbed in about an hour. Broga Hill is a favorite among local hikers due to the breathtaking, picture-book view from the top. Unlike most hills and mountains in Malaysia, Broga Hill’s peak is mostly devoid of trees, allowing you to get an amazing view of your surroundings. If you want to catch the sunrise, make sure to come early and don’t forget to pack a good torch light and plenty of bottled water.
